Back fat is a particularly difficult problem for women.  Men can get away with a little bit easier, since they don’t have bras to make it stick out (the dreaded bra bulge), and their close tend to be a little less fitted.  But for women back fat is extremely annoying.

How to get rid of back fat — lose weight throughout your whole body.

Don’t be fooled by all the gadgets in different out there.  If a product promises to eliminate fat of any kind, including back fat, and does not include an eating plan cure towards weight loss and actual exercise it will not work.

There is no getting around it to lose fat on your back, or anywhere else for that matter, you need to lose fat from your whole body.

To lose fat from your entire body you need to learn how to eat — not with fad diets, and no starving yourself.  You need eat good, healthy food in moderate portions.

Small changes make all the difference.

If you don’t understand the nutrition, you are not alone.  Americans as a whole are notorious for eating badly and exercising little.  But, you can change that.  Begin to educate yourself on good nutrition, and what portions actually look like.  Make small changes.

My favorite small change for women to make in their eating habits is to eat one high-fiber piece of fruit a day.  Apples or pears are great for this.  They will keep you full, damp down your cravings, and help you slim down.  If you want to know how to get rid of back fat, making small changes in your diet and adding exercise (even walking) is the best answer.

You may have heard that foods high in dietary fiber can help you lose weight and help you keep weight off.  You may even have wondered if this might be the magic you’ve been looking for to help you get to the weight that you want to be.  Dietary fiber can be the answer that you are looking for… but not all foods high in dietary fiber are created equal.

Fiber, fiber everywhere!

As I’ve been grocery shopping lately, I’ve noticed a plethora of items with labels that shout "whole grain!" and "5 grams of fiber!".  It kind of brings to mind the low fat craze of a decade ago.  However, unlike the lowfat craze, which many times replaced sugar for fat, the whole grain push is actually beneficial.

Overall, whole grains are definately desirable in your diet.  They fill you up more than refined grains and they pack a really good nutritional punch.  They also have the magic bullet fiber, which helps promote weight loss.

Where things get a little sneaky and confusing is when white bread and other refined food products contain added fiber.   Is white bread with fiber better for you than white bread without fiber?  Absolutely.  And it is a good first step.

But, if you are serious about wanting to get into your skinny jeans again, you need to wean yourself off of refined products (white bread and white pasta are two big culprits) and start eating whole grain products.

Naked foods &#43 Fiber - Do They Work?

The fiber found in many of the products on the store shelves right now is isolated fiber.  This means that it’s been taken out of the original food and put into a stripped down food that needs to be"fortified".  Will isolated fiber hurt you? No, not really.  And it probably will make you more regular in the bathroom department.  It will also help you to feel fuller longer, which is always a very good thing.

Naked foods &#43 fiber are a good start, but they don’t give you the kind of powerhouse nutrition that will help you lose weight easily and keep the weight off.

The amazing ability of foods high in dietary fiber to change your life.

A high fiber diet gives you amazing benefits like losing weight easily, maintaining your weight, reducing your blood pressure and cholesteral.

Foods naturally high in dietary fiber include nuts (mmm cashews), whole grains, fruits, vegatables, and beans.  Start eating a diet rich in these types of foods and your weight loss and maintanance will become easier.

I was doing some research on the importance of fiber in our diets and I came across this great video.  It explains why dietary fiber matters and the different classifications of dietary fibers.   The host has a good sense of humor too.
